Breath Meditation

Lynn Dyer of More Than Yoga, guides this 5 minute breath meditation that uses a simple Ujjayi extended exhalation pattern. Ujjayi is often referred to as “Victorious Breath.” It is a technique that calms the mind and is beneficial for those suffering from stress, insomnia and mental tension. It also helps to draw your awareness to the present moment.

May you experience the life-giving and healing benefits of this breath practice.

Birdsong Meditation

“Ok. It's possible that birds may sing just for the joy of it.” —Kyo Maclear

Embodied Meditation

“Awaken, awaken, awaken my soul. Awaken, awaken to see and behold.”

The invitation to live awake to the present moment and to the Presence that permeates all of life is a central part of the spiritual journey. We often need gentle reminders to live from this awakened place. This embodied meditation engages the voice and movement as a way to wake us up to the here and now. Listen and join in!

Contemporary Psalm of Gratitude

Praise to the Source of Life whose
    Presence is pulsing throughout creation.
In the cooling air and the Autumn light
    the glorious beauty of sunflowers,
    their happy faces gleaming
the scurrying of squirrels and chipmunks
busy with prep-work for what’s to come.
The growing darkness that slowly wraps us,
Earth’s abundance that feeds us —
    body, mind and soul.
The sure rhythm of the seasons carrying us along,
    nudging us to stretch open
to all of life’s messy goodness.
And for your mercy that enfolds us every step of the way,
we bow in gratitude
.
